Checklist

To reduce the risk of malfunctions or machine failures and to ensure productivity, LATZKE performs inspections according to checklists.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ ON MAINTENANCE TOPICS

Financial predictability
A maintenance contract offers you better financial predictability. By concluding a contract, you secure a fixed price for the chosen period. Depending on which service package you choose (S/M/L), you receive a price guarantee for a period of 2 to 5 years. This offers you protection against unexpected price increases and a reliable basis for calculation.

Customizable Service Packages
Another advantage is the flexible selection of the appropriate service scope. The Essential, Advanced, and Professional packages are structured to cover various requirements in hardness testing. From basic services including appointment monitoring, customer portal, and calibration services, to extended support, checklist-based inspections, and prioritized assistance, you can select the package that perfectly fits your daily testing routine. This ensures you receive a service agreement tailored to the use of your hardness testing equipment, your internal quality requirements, and your desired level of operational reliability.

Special Additional Services
Depending on the service level, the service packages include additional services that significantly relieve your quality assurance department. Even the Essential package supports you with appointment monitoring, calibration deadline reminders, inspection of wear parts, customer support, and included load levels for calibration. Advanced extends the scope to include adjustment, remote support, professional inspection, and manufacturer inspection according to a checklist. With Professional, you additionally benefit from a prioritized support number in case of downtime, a 48-hour on-site response model, a machine check between calibrations, and the free provision of a loan machine during machine repair.

Fixed-price quote
A fixed-price quote is valid for three months. During this period, the price remains stable and does not change. However, after the validity period expires, price changes may occur, and the quote does not provide a price commitment for future orders. A fixed-price quote is useful when a specific, one-time need must be met.

Maintenance Contract/Service Agreement
In contrast to a one-time fixed-price offer, a maintenance contract or service agreement is a long-term solution for companies that want to operate their hardness testing equipment reliably on an ongoing basis. Depending on the chosen service package – Essential, Advanced, or Professional – you receive different scopes of service for calibration, maintenance, inspection, support, and machine availability. Essential offers clear basic coverage, Advanced supplements this with extended testing and support services at a guaranteed price, while Professional is designed for maximum availability, fast response times, and minimal downtime. This ensures our customers a predictable service level, transparent costs, and reliable test results throughout the entire lifecycle of their hardness testing equipment.

Yes, it is possible to include tensile/compression testing machines in existing contracts. For such requests, we usually offer our Service Package S. This allows you, among other benefits, to profit from a price commitment, meaning you do not have to worry about price fluctuations over the contract period.

To provide you with an accurate quote for maintenance and calibration, we require some specific information from you:

Please let us know whether you prefer a factory calibration or a DAkkS calibration. DAkkS calibration is an accredited calibration that is internationally recognized and ensures higher accuracy as well as traceability to national standards. A factory calibration, on the other hand, is a calibration according to internal company standards.
Inform us about the specific procedures and load levels to be tested. Every device and machine has different requirements and tolerances, and the exact specifications play an essential role in creating an accurate quote.
By providing us with these details, we can ensure that your quote is tailored to your specific needs and includes all necessary tests to ensure the optimal performance of your equipment.
